Valentina Martino, Ph.D.

Valentina Martino is an assistant professor in cultural and communicative processes at the Department of Communication and Social Research, Sapienza University of Rome, where she teaches corporate communication.

Since 2001 she has taught and conducted research in the areas of corporate communication, university communication and innovation, and heritage and cultural communication strategies for organizations.

She coordinates a specialist section of Sapienza Library System dedicated to corporate literature, including company history books and other monographs promoted by both public and private organisations, in partnership with the Osservatorio Monografie d’Impresa (OMI) in Verona.

Her works has been published in national and international books and journals such as, in particular, International Journal of Strategic Communication,Communication Management Review,Public Relations Review, Tafter Journal.

In 2016, she translated with Alessandro Lovari (Cagliari University) the first Italian edition of James Grunig’s works (Public (&) Relations. Teorie e pratiche delle relazioni pubbliche in un mondo che cambia; Franco Angeli, Milano 2016). Furthermore, she is author of the following books: Dalle storie alla storia d’impresa. Memoria, comunicazione, heritage (Bonanno, Roma-Acireale 2013); La comunicazione culturale d’impresa. Strategie, strumenti, esperienze(Guerini Scientifica, Milano 2010); Non solo media.
